Cafe Baklava Mediterranean Grill!

Sophia says: Happy Easter everyone! Today my mom and I went for a special lunch at Cafe Baklava. It is Mediterranean. First we went inside and we asked the waiter if we could sit outside. He said yes and we went outside. We wanted to sit outside because it is a beautiful day and the outside seating is pretty. I ordered a fish wrap with french fries. While I was waiting, our waiter brought us hot pita bread with sauce and it was hot and very good! The service was a little slow, it took a while for our food to come. When we got our food, I tasted the fish wrap and it was a little spicy.  The french fries were good though. If you are a vegetarian you can come to this cafe. I might wait a while to come back.

Jodie says: Sophia and I have been looking to try something new and let our readers know what we thought. We didn't really see the inside of the cafe because we were so excited to sit and eat outside on such a nice day. I ordered the falafel wrap with house salad and I hate to say it was just too spicy for me. It was made with some kind of pepper sauce that I didn't really like. When our waiter came to check on us, I told him my food was a little spicy and he took it back.  I wasn't sure what he was going to do but he brought the bill and had very nicely taken off my entree.  I'm sure someone else would love a falafel prepared that way.

  1. For mediterranean food I usually go to Gyros House just a block or so down Castro. I might give Cafe Baklava a try. I do enjoy spicy food. Thanks Ladybugs.

  2. Very nice review! Those look like the fluffiest pitas ever...Mmmmm. Thank you for the vegetarian heads up -- that is very helpful for me. Falafels are a favorite of mine.
