Welcome to our Blog!

My 10 year old daughter & I created LadyBug Restaurant Reviews to write about the restaurants we eat at from a parent/child perspective. Our ratings are for food, service, presentation, friendly waitstaff and overall experience. We rate on a 1 - 5 ladybug scale, with 5 ladybugs being the highest score. We hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment and give suggestions!

The Tied House!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to the Tied House. It was okay. I ordered chicken strips. They were good. The service was okay but our waiter was not very attentive. It was loud and crazy. The restaurant is big but it wasn't really fancy. There were TV's on the walls. I drank lemonade and for dessert I had an ice cream with a cherry and whipped cream and fudge sauce. I might come back.

Chinese Chicken Salad

grilled veggies

Josh says: Tonight we went to the Tied House. The waiter was kind of slow. I  ordered some chicken strips and vegetables and I drank lemonade.  I liked the food. I had ice cream when I was done. The ice cream had a cherry on top. In the middle there was whipped cream and I loved the ice cream.

Jodie says:  The Tied House is a really loud and fun sports bar and microbrewery. We went early in the evening because I know it gets really busy. Even so, we had very slow service.  I had to ask someone other than our waiter for my order and ketchup for the kids and for dessert.  I had the chinese chicken salad which was not very appetizing. The best part of the entire dinner meal was the kid's grilled veggies which was their least favorite part.

Sophia says: Today we went to Yoogl. It is a frozen yogurt restaurant. The steps are, first get your cup, then choose your frozen yogurt flavor, then choose the topping and finally weigh and pay for it. I chose red velvet frozen yogurt and I chose pieces of Oreo cookies for my topping. It was a pretty nice place and the service wasn't good or bad because you make everything yourself. It tasted delicious! I wrote a suggestion down that they could made a flavor called Peppermint Patty. I would definitely come back!

Josh says: Today we went out for ice cream mixed with yogurt. My mom says it's really yogurt but it tasted more like ice cream. And I had the cake flavor and I had colorful cereal on top. And I got to make it by myself!  I had a great day at the ice cream store.

Sophia says: Today is my birthday! We went out to dinner and I got to pick where to go. I picked this restaurant called Nichole's. It was a really good restaurant. When we got there, we were the only people there. I ordered spaghetti and grape juice.  The waitress also gave us bread and it was really warm right from the oven. In the middle of dinner there was a violin player and he played really good music. I liked that. The service was great and our waitress was really nice. They brought me creme brulee for dessert  with a candle. I would definitely come back!

Josh says: Tonight we went to a fancy restaurant. The food was so good. I ordered macaroni and cheese and chicken and I will definitely come back! And the service was amazing because they were fast on the dinner. And it was so quick and it was the best time ever.

Paul says: It was great and I loved it. The food was delicious!!

Jodie says: I had no idea what to expect because we have never been to Nichole's and we were the only ones there. It could not have been a nicer evening out! We were seated and served almost immediately. The decor is very pretty and the oven baked rolls were fantastic. I ordered prosciutto pasta and it was delicious. After a little while another family came in and then the violin player came out. It was such a nice treat and lovely to listen too. The waitstaff were wonderful with the kids and our waitress brought Sophia a special birthday dessert.  I would love to eat there again!

Sophia says: This morning we went to Hobee's. It is a place for breakfast and lunch. I had a very fun time. I ordered the mickey mouse pancake and that tasted super duper good! My mom and and dad had an omelet and we all shared a piece of pumpkin coffee cake. My brother also had the mickey mouse pancake. The service was a little bit slow. We've been going there for a long time but have never done a review until now. The floor was a little messy but I would come back.

Josh says: This morning we went to Hobee's. I ordered a pancake that was shaped like mickey mouse! They were so so so good! The waiter brought me some grapes and some cantaloupe. I colored on a piece of paper the waiter gave me. I would come back because the pancakes were so good.

Paul says: Jodie and I split the special omelet and half was plenty of food. The pumpkin coffee cake was also very good.  From the time we ordered to the time food was delivered it was less than 10 minutes and the place was packed.

Jodie says: We have been going to Hobee's off and on since the kids were babies.  It was the very first restaurant we took Sophia to almost 9 years ago! We have never had a bad experience with either the service or food. It's a very loud and family friendly restaurant and the menu has changed very little over the years. The coffee cake is always baked fresh and served warm and they are great about splitting orders and accommodating any special requests. We hadn't been there in at least a year and everything was exactly like our previous visits.  Definitely recommended as a kid friendly daytime restaurant.
