Welcome to our Blog!

My 10 year old daughter & I created LadyBug Restaurant Reviews to write about the restaurants we eat at from a parent/child perspective. Our ratings are for food, service, presentation, friendly waitstaff and overall experience. We rate on a 1 - 5 ladybug scale, with 5 ladybugs being the highest score. We hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment and give suggestions!

Louis'!

Sophia says: Hi Readers! The other day we went to Louis's restaurant in San Francisco. We didn't have a chance to post our review because I went away to Science Camp. When we got there, it was very busy and we had to wait outside. It took about 15 minutes and then they called my dad's name. When we got to our table, the waitress took a very long time to come see us. Finally she took our order. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. My mom ordered sausage with eggs but our waitress thought she wanted bacon. They gave me and my brother coloring books and we had to ask for crayons. The food took a while and when it came it was good. The restaurant has a lot of windows and a very pretty view of the ocean. I liked it and thought it was nice but I don't think my mom and dad thought the same thing.

Josh says: The other day we ate at Louis' in San Francisco. It was a special day because we got to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge! When we got to the restaurant it was busy. After we sat down I ordered a cheeseburger with french fries. I liked my food because I like cheeseburgers and fries. It was pretty to look out the window because there were lots of trees and the view was nice.

Jodie says: Louis' is a diner type of restaurant located in a beautiful part of San Francisco with absolutely stunning views of the ocean. I think that is the main reason people come. We went at lunch time and it was packed with a long wait to get in. By the time we got seated, a lot of people had left and we waited another 10 minutes for our waitress to take our order. She came back twice to double check our order because she had written it down wrong. I had the sausage muffin with home fries and I thought it was mediocre and over priced.  They also are cash only but have an ATM right inside. I love the location but I don't think I would come back.  Maybe we went on an off day because it seems to be a hugely popular place. The best part for me was leaving and taking a walk down to the ocean.

The Golden Horseshoe!

Sophia says: Hi Readers, this is our last review from Disneyland! We had dessert at the Golden Horseshoe. This restaurant has a stage where people sometimes perform. You can sit upstairs or downstairs and we sat upstairs. I split a mint chocolate sundae and a hot fudge sundae. They were actually pretty huge! I thought they tasted really good. We were lucky that night because they had a comedy show but it wasn't a kid type of show. I had a good time but there was a weird smell upstairs.

Josh says: Hi Readers! We went to the Golden Horseshoe on the last day of our trip. I shared a mint chip sundae with my sister and it was really big and cold. And there was whipped cream. And there was a little show that was kind of funny. A guy was dressed up like a cowboy and another guy was dressed up like a piano player. They told jokes. I would come back.

Paul says: The dessert was great and bigger than we thought it would be for the price. The comedy show was a cowboy skit - I enjoyed it more than the kids did.

Jodie says: This is a really fun restaurant because it's like entering an old fashioned saloon inside and right after we got there, they started the show on the stage. The humor was a little lost on the kids because they were too busy enjoying their sundaes.

Hungry Bear Restaurant!

Sophia says: Hi Readers, here is our second review from Disneyland! Monday afternoon we had lunch at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. It is a restaurant where you order at the counter, and then pick your table outside. I ordered chicken nuggets with apple slices and carrots from the kid's menu. The restaurant is along the edge of the river. There were many tables and all of them were really clean.  I thought my food tasted really good. The people who work there are very nice. We sat next to the edge of the river. I would recommend this place to you because it has great deals and great food!

Josh says: Hi Readers, we had lunch at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. We sat at a table near a river and I saw lots of ducks. I also saw little fish in the water. I ordered chicken nuggets and carrots and apples and ranch dressing. I like the ranch dressing because I dipped my carrots in it and they tasted really good. In the middle of lunch I turned around and saw a big boat on the river. And I liked how the boat looked. I would come back to the restaurant because it is cool.

Paul says:  A delightful find near Splash Mountain. We have walked by it for a couple of years and finally ate there. Nice proportions at a great price. We were able to sit right next to the river where the Mark Twain rolls down. It was shaded, lovely and not crowded which was also nice.

Jodie says: The Hungry Bear Restaurant is my new favorite place to eat at Disneyland. I ordered the fried green tomato sandwich with sweet potato fries and I was surprised at how delicious it was. It's all self serve but the food comes pretty quickly and the scenery is beautiful. Sometimes park food can be over priced and not that great, but this was just a really nice lunch. Highly recommended!

Tony Roma's!

Sophia says: Hi Readers! We have something special to tell you. My family and I went to Disneyland and we have 3 restaurant reviews for you! We drove down on Sunday and Sunday night we ate dinner at Tony Roma's! I have never been there before but it looked like a good place to eat. It is a ribs, hamburger and seafood type of place. When we got there, the hostess greeted us and showed us to a booth right away. There were T.V.s everywhere and also a bar.  The menu was really big and in good condition. I ordered chicken tenders with fries and water to drink. Our waiter was really nice and checked on us a lot. The food took awhile to come. I thought my dinner was really good. For dessert, my brother and split a vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. I thought that was delicious. If you are going to Disneyland, you should have dinner there.

Joshua says:  We got to go to Disneyland! But first we went to Tony Roma's for dinner. I ordered the cheeseburger with french fries. When I came, I ate and ate and ate. I liked the hamburger, but not really the fries because I didnt like the fries. For dessert, I had vanilla ice cream with chocolate on top and a cherry. And I loved it. I would come come back again if I went to Disneyland.

Paul says:  I ordered the chicken and rice dish. Generous proportion and nicely seasoned. Tender and juicy, just the way I like it. Hey now!! The best part was that they had the football game on. I would go back if they would always show sports and I happen to be Anaheim.

Jodie says:  Tony Roma's was interesting. It is a really big restaurant but on Sunday night there were not that many people. Our waiter was very attentive but seemed disappointed that we didn't order more food. He kept asking us is we wanted appetizers and cocktails. We had been in the car for most of the day and were not that hungry. I had the chicken tenders salad and it was huge. I liked it a lot. The kids were really happy with their dessert.  Dinner was fine and we got in and out pretty quickly.

Applewood Pizza!

Sophia says:  Hi Readers, tonight we have a different kind of review. Josh and I spent the night at my grandma and grandpa's house last night and they took us to Applewoods Pizza for dinner! My grandma has been going there for years with her friends and she took us here because she thinks it is a great restaurant. When we got there, we got our menus and sat down. The restaurant is very clean and the bathroom is too.   My brother and I split a small cheese pizza. The waitstaff are very friendly and it took about 10 minutes for our food to come. When I got my cheese pizza it tasted very yummy and cheesy and the crust was divine. Applewood Pizza makes hand made pizzas and they are not oily. This restaurant also serves pasta, salads, and soup and bread. I really like this restaurant and I would come back.

I had a cheese pizza. It was good and I almost ate the whole thing but I shared with my sister. You have to get your own silverware, it is at the counter. It took awhile to get our pizza but when it came it came it was delicious. I would definitely come back because I like their pizza!
