Welcome to our Blog!

My 10 year old daughter & I created LadyBug Restaurant Reviews to write about the restaurants we eat at from a parent/child perspective. Our ratings are for food, service, presentation, friendly waitstaff and overall experience. We rate on a 1 - 5 ladybug scale, with 5 ladybugs being the highest score. We hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment and give suggestions!

Rainforest Cafe!

Sophia says:  A couple of days ago we went to the Rainforest Cafe! But we couldn't write our review on the exact night because we were at Disneyland. I ordered two mini hot dogs, potato chips and raspberry lemonade. It was crowded and loud! For people who haven't been there, it has a lot of animals hanging around the walls. The gorilla comes alive every 15 minutes. It was not scary. My food was good. The waitress was very nice. If I ever go to Disneyland again I would come back.

Josh says: I had macaroni cheese and bread. Our waitress was nice and a little bit slow. The monkeys were silly and I liked them. It was was a little bit loud and there was this cool elevator and a cool waterfall. I want to come back there.

Paul says: The food was fantastic but I was so hungry anything would have been fantastic. I had the sizzling hot chicken & beef fajitas. The atmosphere was crazy but it fit the theme perfectly.  Its about at magical a restaurant outside the magic kingdom that you are going to find. The rainstorm simulation every half hour was super cool even for a grown up.

Jodie says: Although it was loud and crazy and fun, I found it overpriced but so are all the restaruants in the area.  I ordered the beef burrito which was very good.  This was a special night and a fun experience!

P.F. Changs!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to P.F. Changs. It is an excellent restaurant. Also it is Chinese. My brother and I ordered the chicken chowmein, and a side dish of rice. We both drank strawberry lemonade. My mom ordered egg rolls, and dumplings. The restaurant was very fancy, and the waitress was very nice. For dessert we got fortune cookies and good fortunes. When you enter the restaurant, you can see a large white statue of a horse. My brother tried to get on the horses saddle but my mom said NO!

Joshua says: When I went there I saw some statue horses. I ate this kind of spaghetti or maybe noodles and it tasted like fish. I thought it was great so I've been thinking we could go there again. The girl waitress was really nice and she brought the greatest lemonade ever - it was strawberry.  The dessert was so good and we talked about our fortunes.

Jodie says:  I have wanting to go for a long time and we had a gift card. We went at 5:30 and they had a happy hour menu and a very reasonably priced kids menu with a great selection.  The place is huge and we got in right before a big crowd of people came in.  We had a wonderful waitress who brought everything right away and checked on us every few minutes even though she had a full station.  It got very loud toward the end because all the tables were full. The food was excellent and I would definitely go back!

La Cucina di Venti!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to La Cucina di Venti. It was Italian, and it was very fancy. My brother and I split an angel hair pasta. My mom ordered grilled vegetables. The service was okay, and the food was good. The waiters were very nice, and we got to try some ice cream.

              1390 Pear Avenue, Mountain View (650) 254-1120

Joshua says: It was great, I liked the food and I loved the ice cream! And the tomatoes I didn't really like so I didn't eat the tomatoes.  We took them home for my dad. It was so fancy I want to go back there again.

Jodie says: We have driven past there before and I always thought it was a small pizza place. I was very surprised to see how nice and fancy it was once we were inside.  It's near the Shoreline Amphitheatre and tucked away next to office buildings and a 7-11.  The decor is really pretty and very upscale.  The prices were also very upscale! They didn't have a kids menu but Sophie & Josh split a pasta dish and it was very good.  I thought the service could have been better, it was not crowded at all they were a little slow.

Baskin Robbins!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to Baskin Robbins! My grandma gave me a gift card I was excited to use it! I ordered oreo cookies and cream ice cream. My brother ordered chocolate ice cream. The service was fast and the ice cream was good. The place had a lot of ice creams and cakes in it. The floor was a little dirty.

Josh says: I had chocolate ice cream and I ate it all and I ate the cone. I wanted to get a different kind of ice cream and I just couldn't decide.  I wish I could come here again.

Paul says: It was very busy and the place was packed.  Even though they were busy they were very good about helping us and it was a very short wait. I didn't have any ice cream.

Yakko!

Sophia says: Tonight we went to Yakko. We have been here a long time ago, and had very bad service. My mom had to stack the plates! :0(  So we decided to give it one more chance. The service was ok. My mom still had to stack the plates, but only three. The food was good also. I might come back.

                          975 W Dana St , Mountain View, CA   (650) 960-0626

Josh says: I had chicken terryaki and I liked the table. We got to take our shoes off before we sat down.  The ice cream was strawberry and it was cold and good.

Paul says: The california rolls were good, miso soup, very good.  The service was slow.  We gave Yakko a second chance after 2 years and food slightly better now than I remember.

Jodie says:  We came right before 6:30 and they had happy hour prices but not for anything we wanted to order.  The service was again very slow,  but the sushi was very good. The kids had chicken terryaki with tempura and I had an eggplant dish.  We could probably wait another year or so before coming back.
